Long-travel suspension
and a custom turbocharged/fuel injected 2110cc engine put Jeanne McFarland's buggy in with the fast crowd!
A stout 2011cc VW engine features a long list of performance items, like a custom-built (by Jim) turbo-fuel injection system, using a Dodge Viper throttle body and a T3 turbocharger in 60-trim.
An impressive 16 inches of wheel travel is achieved with Alumicraft's A-arm front suspension, featuring twin chromoly arms and Fox shocks with Eibach coil-over springs. A Howe rack and pinion moves the heim-ended tie rods to direct the Douglas spindle-mount polished aluminum wheels.
A quick-release steering wheel makes getting in and out even easier. Even the ice chest is top-notch, with matching cover.The custom aluminum dash is clean and simple, with igniton, switches, warning lights and Auto Meter guages.
CB Performance EFI end castings with injector bosses were used to supply fuel, while an MSD distributor supplies the spark.
Big and cushy Mastercraft bucket seats featuring large headrests, with occupants getting wrapped with Deist harnesses for safety. Steering wheel is a Momo, shifter is Jamar, pedal assembly is CNC, and gauges are from Auto Meter. Electro Tech handled the blue powder-coating, while the awesome graphics are the handiwork of Parker Airbrush in Oceanside, CA.
